Rooted in Kentucky. Built on Hardwood.

Fox Valley Wood was started in 1980 by Rodney Hammond in Plummers Landing, Kentucky. From the very beginning, the business was built on a simple principle: source the finest local timber and turn it into products woodworkers and craftsmen can rely on.

In 1981, Mr. Hammond began manufacturing walnut gun stock blanks — a specialty that continues to this day. Over 46 years, Fox Valley has grown into a full-service hardwood operation, offering dimension lumber, furniture squares, gunstock blanks, and log sales to customers across the country and abroad.

Dimension lumber and furniture squares are kiln dried on site, ensuring every board leaves the mill at the right moisture content for your project.
